Some of you all got really high, that's pretty crazy.
Anyone have tips or tricks to share? How you take down a particularly difficult team?


This ones probably obvious but if there's anyone that doesn't know it; a Grass type kogo can use the water move Spash. It will help protect them from Axi's. I'm not sure if you can get Splash now, I got mine from a past event.

Or if you need to 'power level' a bit; get a kogo that can make Prie appear on the map where Asil is. Put the kogo you want to level in slot one, then immediately swap it for a Fire Dragon. An Axi/Ryu with Magma Ball can wipe either of her teams.

I'll do my best to help here.

This event is amazing for getting extra experience. If you're trying to level kogo, do this event. Defeat every group you can defeat for the day. Even if you aren't sure you can beat a team yet, there is no harm in trying (Unless you're competitive in which case a lose will give points to the other team) and tomorrow you may be able to beat them after you finish all the easier ones.

Also, try to do a battle in the two outskirts areas once an hour. I know it's not always possible and there's absolutely no harm missing one but the NPC's refresh every hour. Prie offers about 1k xp in Asil's hideout when you unlock the one with Suvok and Katsu about 500 xp in the other zone (Split across all kogo that fought.).
A kogo still gets XP even if it's knocked out, as long as you are able to defeat the team. So get a kogo up high enough that they can solo Prie and open with the kogo you want to level, either running it until it's almost knocked out or letting it pass out and then swap to the carry pet and just beat them down.
Personally, I like to go out and catch kogo and use whichever I can catch at the highest level, it may only save you a couple hundred xp but at the start, that's xp you don't have to get. If you manage to catch an Aky pup (or anything at their max catch level really) at level 6 or 7, use it. You will save yourself a lot of time not having to level it up those first 3-7 levels.

Cards/Kogo
Nature's blessing is very useful. You have a good chance of gaining health back when using this. If you have an owprin or other plant type high enough you can Nature's blessing to spend mana and Scrap to restore it and usually solo the Kibbits. Add splash to that critter and you can defeat most teams.
Dim Smash, if you have it, will put the hurt on Aky. And Splash is very strong against Byakko and Axi. Just be careful, most things that can use splash are also weak to fire spells used by Axi and Byakko. (Kind of a double edged sword)

In the end, I'd recommend any life creature with Nature's Blessing and Splash as well as something that can use Dim Smash and/or Magma Ball.
Also, make sure there's variety in your team. If you have all Byakko in your team, I can wipe it out with one pet using Splash. It's a lot harder to take out 4 different kogo than an entire team of byakko.

This is what works for me, it's not guaranteed to work for you but it may be somewhere to start. There's no perfect team for the event battles because everyone uses different stuff in different orders but for leveling with Katsu and Prie, you can definitely make a good leveling team.

A Byakko with Rock Charge can beat the heck out of Axi and Ryu.

Light Tackle, a move Aky's can use, can heal but has a much lower chance of healing then Natures Blessing.

Event Specific

I've noticed looking at other peoples setup's that your team updates on the fly. Whatever team you currently have setup is what your team in the event will be, it does not stick with the team you registered as. This means you can take a strong team, fight everyone on the list for points and exp, then when you're done change out your team for a single level 1 Kogo. Your defense will lose, but the other teams will be getting like 1 point for beating you so the loss isn't a big deal.

On the other hand, if you have a good team (Like Level 20+) you may want to just leave your good team up because when people lose to your defense, you and your team get extra points for the defensive win. I left my team up last night and woke up to 150 points this morning from defensive wins~
