Intro
To raise NPC friendship levels, you'll need to give them gifts, help them out with their shop or doing quests that offer relationship points as the reward.. Today I'm going to talk about gifting to an NPC.
To start with, find an NPC and talk to them. You will see a 'Give Gift' option. Clicking on 'Give Gift' will open up a vew of your inventory. Find the item you'd like to give to the person and click on it. Note: Stacks of more than 1 item will only use 1 item from that stack so there's no need to break stacks to give gifts! After you've clicked on the item you wish to give, you will be asked to confirm that this is the item you're wanting to give away.
Remember, you cannot take back an item you have given away so make sure you really want to gift it before hitting that give gift button! This will remove the item from your inventory.
Just like you, the NPCs have favorite gifts as well as ones they just don't like. If you want an NPC to like you, make sure to give them their favorite gifts! A simple 'Thank you' is a good response but an NPC will will react much differently to their favorite or disliked gifts. Things they like will grant you more relationship, and things they dislike will actually hurt your relationship with them.
Once you have gifted them enough and raised their affection level, they'll have a quest for you. Completing the quest will increase their heart level.
